Monday Moments

Money can't buy happiness but it can buy chickens (and two ducks and a turkey) which is kinda the same thing.

It was so much fun to introduce the kids to our new friends this morning. They were delighted and very gentle with them. Much of their free time was spent watching them, sticking their fingers in the cage to get "kisses" and begging to hold them again.

We did manage to get a few other things done today though.

One of our adult roosters has been being bullied in the chicken coop and finally escaped. So I've been letting him run free and be our yard friend. He isn't aggressive and seems to enjoy being around the kids, although he will not let them touch him.  Michael bought a new bat and ball at the Dollar Tree for the kids because our old bat had been chewed up by one of the dogs. He gave it to them this morning and they were delighted.

And that pretty much sums up our day. It was a good one!
