Chickens, Ducks, One Little Turkey and a Teepee

Michael and I went to Tractor Supply today and bought a few of the cute little creatures. I don't even know how to explain how happy they make me! I wasn't sure when we went in exactly what I wanted, so I decided to simply take a look and see what was available. Michael kept saying he wanted ducks and I kept saying we don't need any ducks, but . . . somehow we walked out with two. I also bought six White Leghorn pullets, six Rhode Island Red pullets and one little turkey poult. I just love hearing them peeping away happily. They seem to have adjusted and settled in well to their little temporary home. Pepper was mildly curious to see and smell them and then she just walked away and ignored them.

We started a new project this afternoon. We had a lot of branches and sticks down in our yard so we decided to do something with them. We now have the beginnings of a teepee in our back yard. This one is big enough that Michael  can fit inside. I want to make some more, smaller ones to plant climbing plants around for the kids to play in. This will be a project we will work more on in the coming weeks during outside time with kids.
