The tongue has the power of life and death.

Reading and Learning
What I've discovered about life is that you get what you go after. And the words that you hear in your head are a compass that directs where you go.
"Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind," said Rudyard Kipling in his speech to the Royal College of Surgeons in London in 1923. He continued, "Not only do words infect, egotize, narcotize and paralyze, but they enter into and colour the minutest cells of the brain; they powerfully shape how a person feels and thinks, positively or negatively."
The words you listen to in your head yield the power to plant seeds of either success or failure. They affect how you think, and they frame how you see yourself and your future. Words are power conductors that have been used to start wars, heal nations, launch products, restore relationships, give freedom, change patterns, and even inspire the average person next door to make history. In fact, the Bible tells us there is life and death in the words we speak.
The words in you are listening to in your head right now are determining everything - your direction, your confidence, and your potential.
The golden ticket for me was discovering that God is speaking life over my life all day, every day. . . . He believes in me, and has not only created me with a purpose, but is constantly speaking over me all I need to walk it out.

Outdoor Fun
We spent some time this afternoon watching this fascinating, slightly horrifying drama. I had pictures of the kids reactions but somehow they got deleted. Jocelyn was disgusted but couldn't look away, Kylin was amazed and delighted, and Elijah was slightly interested but was mostly wondering where a ball was for him to play with. It was so funny to see their personalities show in their reactions.
Other Fun
Blocks continue occupy a lot of our inside free time. The older boys are learning to be patient and show Carson how to build. Carson is learning how to work with others. We're making progress.
Today's Quote
Words are free. It's how you use them that may cost you.
