Inspiration
Our faces are not covered with a veil. We all display the Lord's glory. We are being changed to become more like Him so that we have more and more glory. And the glory comes from the Lord, who is the Holy Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:18
Reading and Learning
"We are as the moon. And He is as the sun. And as the moon'slight and beauty come from the sun, so our light and beauty come from God. So if you focus on yourself, you'll only see the imperfections, the scars, and the darkness. But if you forget about yourself and focus on the beauty of His radiance, then you will shine with His light. And that light will overcome your imperfections And you'll become beautiful. Don't make the mistake of living a life focused on yourself. Forget yourself. Turn to Him. Dwell in the beauty of His presence . . . and your life will become a reflection of His . . and you'll shine with the light of His radiance."
Day 169
Jocelyn chose Dominoes today for game time. Dominoes seems to be the favorite game recently.
Outdoor Fun
My helpers were so excited to see that the seeds they helped plant had given us such an abundant harvest. This has been an awesome learning experience for them.
In the Kitchen
We had turkey and cheese stuffed pita bread and fresh green beans for lunch. The kids also had applesauce and milk.
On My Mind
One of the ways I feel like God most asks me to reflect Him is in loving other people. 1 John 4:8 says "God is love." But, in order for me to know how to love other people as God does, I first have to get to know God. So the first step in reflecting God is in getting to know Him. I love how simple it is to learn to know God. As I read His Word, and spend time in His presence, He shows Himself to me. He wants me to know Him. He desires a relationship with me. Sometimes that astounds me! The God of the universe and beyond; the God Who has over 7 billion people to be in relationship with, wants a relationship with me. And He wants a relationship with each one of the the over 7 billion other people on earth. That tells me that relationship is a key part of reflecting God. Obviously I am not God (that's a blessing!), and I cannot have a relationship with everyone on earth but those that He has placed in my path, in my life, are the people He wants me to connect with, to share His love with, and to be a reflection of Him too.
Quote of the Day
"Be the moon and inspire people, even when you're far from full.
