Reading and Learning
A little morning fun with manipulatives before outside time.
They are moving right along in their workbooks.
Outside Fun
Morning outside fun - playing in our "jungle" and dump truck fun.
Then there was more jungle fun this afternoon.
And dump trucks, cars and wagon fun.
Kylin discovered, and was very fascinated by, beetles. We have so many of them and I catch them by the handful to feed the chickens. But Kylin jsut loves them. And we watched a bumble bee doing what bumble bees do. We talked about how it was okay to watch to watch the bee if we were still and quiet, but that we should never touch them because they were busy and because they can sting.
And, while we're on the subject of creepy crawly critters, here's a fine specimen! I found this spider carrying around all her babies this evening while I was pulling weeds in the garden. I found it disturbingly fascinating.
In the Kitchen
Boiled eggs, apple slices, grits and orange juice for breakfast; Beef, potatoes, green beans and onions, butter bread and applesauce for lunch; and baked flounder and green peppers for dinner.
