Inspiration
You received Christ Jesus as Lord. So keep on living in Him. Have your roots in Him. Build yourselves up in Him. Grow strong in what you believe, just as you were taught. Be more thankful than ever before.
Colossians 2:6-7
Reading and Learning
"In God, your life is like a tree. There are two parts to your existence, the part that's visible to the world and the hidden part no one can see. It's the visible part of your life that manifests the fruit . . . all your good works, your acts of love and righteousness. But the hidden part . . . these are your roots."
"And what exactly are the roots.?"
"Your inner life with God, your faith, your devotion, your love, communion, your time with Him in prayer., that which is in your heart. No one can see it, but it's the most critical part . . . the part by which you receive spiritual life and nourishment. It is this which causes the rest of your life to grow and bear fruit. If your roots are shallow or weak, the fruits of your life in God will wither away. Your fruitfulness in God will always be directly proportionate to your fruitfulness in God."
Day 121
Outdoor Fun
Putting together this chicken coop was the highlight of our day. I was so amazed at the way Michael took the directions and got to work. We worked together but as much as possible I let him take the lead and he did an amazing job. And now the chickens have a nice little home and I don't have to carry them in and out of the house a couple times every day.
In the Kitchen
Lima beans with sausage and onions, honeydew melon, and ranch crackers were out lunch today. It's been a long time since I've had lima beans and they were so good!

Our preschool letter today was Uu. So we practiced writing the letter Uu, talked about the sound U makes, and did dot-to-dot umbrellas, counting from 1-50.
We played a game of Spring themed dominoes, matching items and numbers end to end until someone used up all their dominoes to win.
This new See & Spell activity was enthusiastically received this morning. It is a free time learning activity and I know it's going to get a lot of use.
Outdoor Fun
Boys and trees - what can I say? They never seem to get tired of testing their climbing skills.
I had the cutest, sweetest laundry helper this morning! Little Miss Delilah was very curious about the contents of the basket and what I was doing with them.
