Inspiration
For though we live in the world we are not carrying on a worldly war, for the weapons of our warfare are not worldly but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every proud obstacle to the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
Reading and Learning
We can never forget that what God has called us to do is beyond our talents, abilities, and strengths. Consequently, God infuses us with His divine enablement, the supernatural energy to do superhuman exploits for the kingdom.

Michael got a lot of schoolwork done today, both online and in in his books. And he got to "attend" a youth Bible study via Zoom.
The preschoolers put together a puzzle, looked for sight words in our story book, and worked in their workbooks.
A good book makes Carson smile! And all three kids enjoyed hanging out with Michael and watching him play some computer games.
Outdoor Fun
We pulled weeds in the garden this morning and I had some great helpers.
On My Mind
It seems that every day I have to remind myself of several things.
First, I have to remind myself that I am secure in Christ. No weapon formed against me can prosper, nothing can separate me from the love of Jesus, and as long as He is the center of my life everything I need will be provided.
Second, I have to remember that no matter what is going on in the world around me, the real enemy is not flesh and blood, but against spiritual powers of darkness and evil. So, in order to fight effectively, I must take captive any thoughts of anger or malice toward people and redirect them into prayer as I come against the evil that swirls around us.
Third, even as I pray against evil, it is also necessary to step out in faith to show love toward those around me, regardless of whether or not we agree. Darkness can never drive out darkness, and hatred can never drive out hatred. Only the light of truth and the love that never stops loving will make a difference and begin to push back the dark evil in our world.
Quote of the Day
Prayer is picking a fight with the enemy. It's spiritual warfare. Intercession transports us from the sidelines to the front lines without going anywhere. And that is where the battle is won or lost. Prayer is the difference between fighting for God and God fighting for us. But we can't just hit our knees. We also have to take a step, take a stand. And when we do, we never know what God will do next.
