Monday - Team Work Makes the Dream Work

Inspiration
Nothing is impossible with God.
Luke 1:37

Reading and Learning

" 'Prophecy to these bones!' The words from the Valley of Dry Bones. How impossible is it to raise up bones and skeletons and cause them to come alive?"
"Totally impossible."
"And for two thousand years it was totally impossible to raise Israel from the dead. But God said it and God did it. Never forget that: He's the God of the impossible . . . the God who touches that which is completely hopeless and dead and causes it to come alive again. With God, nothing is impossible. For He is the God of the impossible . . . the God of the Valley of Dry Bones."
Day 134

Outdoor Fun

It's been a crazy busy Memorial Day weekend but a very good one. We spent Saturday putting up a dog kennel and setting up for some new additions to our four footed crew.  It took a lot longer than we expected but with teamwork we got it done! There are still some minor details to work out but we were able to bring home Apollo and Naomi to a place where they would have space to run and play and grow. In the future I will be posting more about our kennel and dog plans and they will have their own website so stay tuned. πŸ˜ŠπŸΆπŸ•

I only had one child today but he got to meet the new puppies and play with Delilah as well. These babies are going to get so much attention and love! I know the other kids will be excited to see them tomorrow.

This was just a weekend visit for Delilah and she will be going back home with Stewart this evening. But she got to meet the puppies (she's only three weeks older than they are but looks so big beside them!) today and have some play time with them. Naomi was shy but Apollo was ready to play!

I'm not sure how much fun Michael was having mowing, but the baby was certainly having fun watching him!

On My Mind

Here is just a bit of what I'm thinking about today. Sometimes I have an idea or a dream that seems so far out there somewhere, out of reach, that I just don't see how it could possibly come true. I have a few of the tools in front of me. I can see a way to get a couple steps closer to that goal, but I can't see any further. And I can so many potential obstacles that somehow look so much larger than the tools I have that I become afraid to even begin. In a way, it feels like I'm looking into a valley of dry bones. I see the skeleton of what could be but I don't know how to put flesh on those bones, or how to breathe life into the skeleton. But then I realize that it's because I'm looking at things the wrong way. It's not all up to me. God places people in my life so we can work together. He causes circumstances to line up so that things can happen. But I have to do my part. I have to allow the people he puts into my life to be part of the team. I have to do the work in front of me, the next right thing. And when I do what He has asked me to do - those dreams, those ideas begin to take shape, things that I could never have dreamed of begin to happen. And those dry bones come to life - full of breath and beauty and the joy of being alive.

Quote of the Day
Faith is building on what you know is here, so you can reach what you know is there.
