Friday - Pig's Feet, A Little Home Decorating, and Rainbows

Inspiration
Only those who throw away their lives for my sake and for the sake of the Good News will ever know what it means to really live!
Mark 8:35 (LB)

Reading and Learning

If you want to be like Jesus you must have a heart for the whole world. . . . The Great Commission is your commission, and doing your part is the secret to living a life of significance.
p. 302

The preschoolers finished up the week with letter Rr. They worked hard learning to write these letters.

They also colored color by number rainbows and were very proud of their hard work.

In the Kitchen

Ok, I tried! But I obviously do not understand how to cook and eat pigs feet. I followed instructions but all I ended up with was a pile of bone, gristle and fat! Even barbeque sauce was not going to help these. So we went with Plan B for lunch today and I threw together some ground beef and rice.

Just for Fun

Playdough - The creation on the top left is, of course, a birthday cake.

Homemaking

Today marks a year that we've lived here and I still haven't put up all my pictures. Michael helped me hang this one this morning. I'm not even totally sure why we love this one so much but  . . . we just do. So now it's on the kitchen wall over the table. It doesn't really seem like a kitchen kind of picture but it actually works in there so I'm going with it.
