Inspiration
Jesus spoke to the people again. He said, "I am the Light of the world. Those who follow me will never walk in darkness. They will have the light that leads to life."

Reading and Learning
This morning I was able to sit down and get all Michael's schoolwork videos set up for the week. This is not meant to be his total curriculum, simply reinforcement and enrichment. I choose videos based on his interests, things he needs more practice with or things that we are currently studying.
I know I share from this book a lot, and I also know I will probably share a lot more in the future. There is just so much in this book that is too awesome not too share!
"One thing I want you to do," he said. "Keep watch over the sun."
It was a strange directive. I did my best, noting from time to time its position in the sky.
"What did you see?" he asked. . . . "Everything was changing around us except for the sun. . . "It's because . . . although a mountain or a house or even a hand can appear bigger than the sun and can, for a time, obscure it, the reality is that the sun's true magnitude, its actual size, is so enormous, so colossal, that the highest mountain on earth is as nothing in comparison. . . . Two thousand years ago, Messiah said, 'I am the Light of the World.' Since that time, ages have begun and ended, continents and civilizations have been discovered, kingdoms and empires have risen and fallen, kings and luminaries have appeared and passed away. And some of these have, for a moment seemed larger . . . But in the long run . . . they've all passed away. Everything has changed . . . except Him. . . . And the immensity of His magnitude . . . is manifested by His changelessness."

Plants
On my front porch I have three pots of greens that are growing very nicely - one pot of kale, one of spinach and one of mixed greens. And in the back yard is pear tree full of little pears. I enjoy all the seasons but I think Spring is my very favorite!
Kitchen
For dinner this evening I made a bacon, cheese and onion quesadilla, and made a salad from the greens I have growing and more of bacon, cheese and onion. Michael fried himself some hamburger and added ketchup, salt and pepper and put it all on bread with some cheese.
Out and About
This afternoon I went to BioLife to donate plasma. Because of the coronavirus and social distancing requirements they have had to greatly reduce the number of people donating at once. And because of cleaning requirements (I think this is why) they have reduced the number of hours they are open. This makes me sad because I know the plasma is needed for lifesaving treatments and I hope it doesn't lead to a shortage of the treatments made from plasma.
Michael and I took the long way home from Harrisonburg and enjoyed the scenery along Rt. 11. Like I said before, I love Spring, and the scenery this time of year is amazing!
This has been a wonderful weekend and I'm feeling refreshed and ready to tackle a new week.
