Reading and Learning

The worst part of envy is that it's an insult to God! Every time you wish you were someone else, have what they have, or do what they do, you are saying "God, you made a huge mistake with me! You could have done better. You could have made me like that person, but you didn't." . . . Envy is actually a form of spiritual rebellion based on ignorance and arrogance It assumes that I have a better plan for my life than my Creator does! Really?

Instead of afternoon schoolwork Michael went to help at the Calvary food pantry. And instead of evening schoolwork he "attended" a youth gathering via Zoom. Both of these activities had plenty of valuable learning and socialization opportunities so I'm good with it.

The preschoolers' letter of the day was Nn. We practiced tracing the letter Nn and talked about the sound Nn makes. Nest begins with letter Nn so they colored a bird on a nest using a color by number worksheet.

In the Kitchen

Since we were talking about nests today I thought it would be fun to make bird's nests with peanut butter and chow mein noodles. Then they filled the nests with jelly bean eggs and enjoyed a snack.

Lunch - Homemade vegetable chicken soup, cheese quesadillas and apple slices.
