About Me

 I believe life is an adventure. And I believe adventure is found in the little, every day things as well as the big, unusual, once in a lifetime things. Every day is full of delightful little details - the smell of coffee first thing in the morning (and any other time of the day), the laughter of a child, the amazing variety of shades of green in summer, the ever changing sky, the taste of chips and dip (it doesn't have to be fancy to be delightful), the feel of the cool, smooth wood floor under my feet, the sound of rain on the roof as I fall asleep at night. There are so many little moments that add up to a big life, and make every day an adventure.

  Of course, there are the days that feel more like a roller coaster (I don't like roller coasters), but those days do not last forever, and, if I try, I can always find delightful details even on those days. It just takes a little more concentration.

  I am a beloved daughter of a King, my Heavenly Father.

  I am the mother of three - Austin (24), Amanda (22), and Michael (14).

  I am a childcare provider. 

  I love to read, cook, create, teach, travel, garden, and write. I love long conversations with friends, laughter, and learning. Good movies make me happy.

  I am blessed to be a part of two local churches - White Hill Church of the Brethren and Calvary United Methodist church.
