Friday Fun - Trees, Puzzles, Workbooks and Blocks

Inspiration
Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, ya, the deep things of God.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10

Reading and Learning

God's desire is that we become aware of all the spiritual blessings He has already imparted to us, and then that we access those blessing and employ them for His glory. We are to use our spiritual blessings not only to see our own needs met but to advance the purposes and plans of God on this earth, in this generation, whenever and wherever we have opportunity.
If we could see the full harvest God has already imparted to us and planted within us, our minds and hearts could not contain it! Our eyes would be blinded by the glory of it, and our souls would burst with the thought of it. But one word of warning: The Enemy also knows our potential. He is not ignorant of God's plan or God's gifts to us. He knows the harvest we can experience in our lives. He know the potential of the blessings God has for us.
Therefore when Satan comes against us, troubling us, oppressing us, we need to recognize that he is not only challenging whose we are or what we are doing. The Devil is troubled over what has been deposited in us! He knows what can be released from us. He is intimidated by our destiny and is fighting to keep us from moving into and possessing the blessings that are ours in Christ.

We're making a lot of progress in our workbooks and they seem to really enjoy the activities.

Each afternoon, between lunch and nap time we work through our circle time book. This week we've focused on how plants grow, the letters Cc and Dc, the number 0, the shape circle, and the words and, and are. We also review number, letter, shape and word flashcards, and learn some new songs. And at each circle time we read three stories - one about our theme of the week, one chosen by a child, and a Bible story. This week was our first week doing circle time this way and I think it's going to be great. Next week I'm planning to add in some sign language as well.

After nap and snack time we put together this Caillou puzzle.

There was a lot of creative block building happening today as well.

Outdoor Fun

This morning, after days of playing with puppies and watching chickens, the kids returned to one of their old favorite play spots - the tree.

Quote of the Day
Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage, and confidence.
