Monday - Planning, Planting and Playing

Inspiration
The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.
Proverbs 21:5 (NIV)

Reading, Learning and Playing

Often people assume that because they know what they need to do, they won't benefit from a weekly plan. Based on numerous studies and our experience with thousands of clients, that is just not the case. A plan between your ears is not nearly as effective as a plan on paper. In our experience, you are 60 to 80 percent more likely to execute a written weekly plan than a plan that is in your head.

Michael did his online work before he left this afternoon to help at the Food Pantry. This evening he enjoyed another youth meeting via Zoom.

This morning the preschoolers watched the animated version of The Very Quiet Cricket. One of the characters in this story was the bumblebee. So we spent some time talking about the beginning sound of bumblebee, as well as tracing the letter Bb and the word bee. We also colored the number 5 and counted out and glued five bumblebees flying around the number.

After we completed our morning lessons we still had some time left so put together this puzzle.

Here are a few pictures of our morning free choice activities.

It was raining this afternoon so we had a lot of time for free choice activities.

Outdoor Fun

I'm so glad the rain waited until this afternoon so we could get some outside time this morning.

Feeding the chickens, picking buttercups and finding ladybugs - these are the things fun mornings outside are made of.

We also planted three rows of green beans. Each of the preschoolers got to help me with one row. Michael helped cover up the seeds and the baby supervised. I think we make a pretty good team!
